Newsletter June 2014

May 27, 2014

Greetings from Menri Monastery,

List 1We have been very busy here as usual.  The most recent event was a Bum Tsok for Sidpi Gyalmo and all Protectors which lasted 7 days and involved 100,000 Torma Offerings and 100,000 prayers.

I want to thank all of you who were able to make a contribution through the Khyungdzong Wodsel Ling Center’s web site.  We received a grand total of $6,431 from 72 donors from Brazil, Canada, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Italy, Mexico, the Netherlands, Poland, Russia, Serbia, South Africa and the USA.  This healing ritual was dedicated to all sentient beings and for World Peace.  It is very helpful for your health, life events, personal relationships, and work.  For those of you unable to contribute at this time, we are thankful for prayers and for keeping us all in your thoughts during this time.menri med center

We also had the inauguration of the new Medical Center on May 13.  It has been under construction for the past three years and while the main construction is complete, there still remains some work to do.  It will be a very much appreciated addition to the Monastery and all the people in Dolanji are so thankful to have it here.  It is 7 floors tall and was sponsored by the Yuan Yuan Education Foundation, in San Francisco and Jetsun Ma Ho Lynn who is the Founder and Chairperson was here for the event along with 4 others fmenri med center 3rom the Foundation.

On May 27, 2014, I leave for Russia to give teachings, and will return on June 12, 2014.    I will be teaching Kun Sang Gar at the center of Namkai Norbu Rinpoche near Moscow.  In Moscow, I will be giving the Medicine Buddha Empowerment.

I will be going to Germany in October and will be back in the USA in November.  Details will eventually be posted on the Khyungdzong Wodsel Ling website.

I wish you all a very good summer with success in all your endeavors and especially good health and happiness.

Addendum from KWL:IMG_0296

Menri Lopon is having a wonderful time in Russia, with many students attending his teaching last weekend.

The Dolpo Clinic is open for business this summer, with Nurse Wangmo in charge. However, we are looking for sponsors to help pay her a salary!  Lopon wants to pay her 30,000 NPR a month, approximately $320 US.  If a number of people make a small donation each month, we can easily reach this amount.  We are looking for on-going monthly commitments, but single donations will be greatly appreciated as well.  If you would like to help sponsor our Dolpo nurse, you can use the PayPal button at the bottom of this page:  http://kwling.org/projects/clinic/
